The village has its own restored railway station on the renowned Watercress line; a tourist line that holds special events including behind the scene tours and dining experiences. The line runs for 10 miles from New Alresford to Alton where it connects to the National Rail network.
Four Marks Church of England Primary School has an OFSTED rating of “Outstanding” and there are also several other local primary and secondary schools in the neighbouring villages. Excellent independent schools include Bedales School which is 9.8 miles away and Lords Wandsworth College which is 12.4 miles away.
Four Marks is situated 4.4 miles southwest of Alton and provides good access to the A31 and M3. Alton train station is just a 13 minute drive away and can also be reached using Four Marks bus services. Major town and city centres like Basingstoke and Winchester can also be reached via a short drive or train journey from Alton.
